Look out Pre..., Sex and the TC Mama's!

Good Morning!

I am sitting here in my little batgirl cave enjoying some computer time and counting down that I have roughly an hour before I have to pick Isaac up from his last day of preschool. I cannot believe how fast the year has gone. I can remember the school year feeling as though it lasted for far more time than this when I was young. Funny how things change I suppose. The entire school was abuzz with anticipation of Fun & Funky Field Day. Everyone had crazy hair goin on along with hats and fun outfits. What a wonderful Elementary school my children will have the privileged of going to. We are so lucky!

We have been busy around here. You know, feeding time for the animals three times a day, remembering to shower and brush my teeth, discovering that when you step on a tent worm its guts can cover some serious ground. The important stuff. We participated in a little 5K and one mile fun run 2 weeks ago. So cute, Jeb "ran" with Isaac and I decided to see what these 'ol mama legs could do to kick of racin' season. The sheriff came to do the shot gun start and when he did for Isaac's race, his face was priceless. I almost peed my pants I was laughing so hard. He was so excited and has told me just about every single day since that he wants to go out and go for a run. Little does he know that I will document everything and happily hand over his remarks, racing numbers, and medals when the time is right. And then he will roll his eyes at me.

I was lucky enough to get out with the girls and go and see Sex And The City the same night. Let me rephrase, I was lucky enough to be amongst my amazing Ya Ya's surrounded by superb food and the best cosmo that this mama has had in a while. (one of the only reasons why I ran in the morning just to burn the amount of calories to equal out what I took in that night!) Whew baby! We had such a great time. We sat and ate, enjoyed each others company, we talked over one another in a mad dash to get in all of the unfinished conversations that we haven't finished in a few weeks, pondered if we were a little more Carrie than Miranda, and why it is that we are so lucky to have each other. We can go from talking about our kids poop to which detergent works best to how we got to where we are in our lives now. We all wore make up, had our 2 drink minimum, and left each other rejuvenated and basking in the glory of the wonderful world of female friendship and all of the fun and silliness us 30+ year old women have. If only we all knew this was what to come when we were younger. Thank you gals, I will look forward to being amongst you all again soon.

Thank God no one walked in on the conversation that we were having in the bathroom! :)
